We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join us on our journey.


Position Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Principal Software Engineer to be a key part of our engineering team. Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer you will form part of the engineering leadership team and support the day to day running of a skilled team of engineers.


  • Form part of the engineering leadership team.
  • Support the day to day running of a highly skilled Engineering team.
  • Mentor junior members of the development team by:
  • Setting the standards around efficient code writing, implementation and QA.
  • Helping explain the design and scope of tasks to them
  • Support the planning and product teams in producing robust software designs and specifications.
  • Support the agile development process, helping with sprint planning, estimations etc.

Who are you

  • Experience as a Software Developer in industry.
  • Degree or relevant qualification in computer science or a related field with an emphasis on programming and software development such as life sciences or physics.
  • Experience of software development using the Unity Engine in a professional capacity.
  • Good knowledge of C# and practical knowledge of one or more of the following: Java, Python, C++.
  • Comfortable with autonomous working.
  • Proactive and able to identify and solve problems.
  • Attention to detail.  
  • Good communication skills, able to communicate complex ideas to both junior developers and other key stake holders.
  • Understanding of agile project management techniques and practices.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Awareness of AEC (Architectural, Engineering & Construction) and LMS (Learning Management System) software integration practices would be advantageous.
