This tool allows import from a variety of online repositories including Sketchfab, Turbosquid, Grabcad, 3DContentCentral, etc as well as compatibility with industry standard engineering tools from Autodesk, Bentley, Dassault, etc. The tool allows the 3D models to be oriented and scaled and exploded within teaching environments.

Protein, Molecule & Crystal Structure Viewer

This tool allows the importing and viewing of over 200,000 molecules, proteins and crystal structures of materials covering a wide range of subject areas across life science, physical sciences and engineering. As well as being a teaching tool, this tool can be used in research, for example to visualise the spike protein on the SARS-COV-2 virus.

This tool allows the placement of multiple fixed broadcast cameras within the environment, in addition to the POV camera generated by the VR headset location. The cameras can be selected to stream over video conferencing platforms or used to record lessons. edify comes with virtual audio and video drivers, giving compatibility with a wide range of platforms, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex etc.

We have delivered our first significant API connection into the Sketchfab database, giving access to millions of 3D objects and environments.

This strategy will be expanded as we grow, supported throughout our launch period with provision of core content to enable a quick and easy onboarding of new customers.

Built & Natural Environment

Leveraging the rich datasets that are widely available, in edify we have built a suite of importers that give direct access to BIM, CAD and GIS data(eg satellite imagery, point clouds, laser scans, photogrammetry and 2D/3D drawing formats).

Via the industry standard APIs (Autodesk Forge and Bentley's iModel & Synchro formats), the vast majority of industry datasets can be directly brought into edify.

Medicine

Human Model + DICOM

We have licensed the fully detailed Zygote 3D Anatomy models covering every aspect of human (male and female) anatomy. This content will form the basis of a whole range of lessons.

Additionally we have built a DICOM importer for edify that enables the direct import of this global standard medical imaging format - allowing our teachers to use 2D & 3D sources such as: x-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasonography and many other medical content sources.

A full range of standard lab equipment is provided in edify.

As part of our broader partnerships strategy, we are actively seeking providers of lab equipment to sponsor content packs of their own equipment to be included within the edify libraries.

A core component of edify is our Molecule Viewer that allows instant importing of any protein from the many available databases, along with molecules & crystalline structures.
