How do I set up my VR headset?

This is a basic overview of setting up a headset to run Edify. For a more in-depth guide, visit the headset manufacturers’ website. Depending on your type of headset, you may require a Steam account to use your VR kit.

Edify is compatible with most commercially available headsets however for the best user experience, Edify recommends* the Meta Quest, Pico and HTC devices.

How do I set up my VR headset?

Meta/Quest

To use the a Meta/Quest headset with Edify you’ll need to install the Oculus desktop software, and register for a META account. This can be either linked or separate to a Facebook account. The Oculus software enables you to connect to the headset both wired and wirelessly depending on the quality of your wireless network.

Meta/Quest

HTC Vive

To use a HTC headset with Edify you will need to install both the Vive software and Steam VR. Users will need to register separate accounts for both HTC and Steam (Valve), however Steam VR is a one time login only. Depending on which Product you purchase there may be additional requirements in terms of hardware setup.

To use a Pico headset you need to install the Pico Link desktop software, and register for a Pico account. Like the Oculus software, the Pico software enables you to connect to the headset both wired and wirelessly depending on the quality of your wireless network.
