Installing edify

Your first step for installing edify is to download the edify launcher by clicking on Download Edify in your account dashboard. This will download a file called “EdifyLauncherSetup.exe”, which will then be accessible through your downloads folder.

Running this file will start a short installation wizard. You can choose a directory to install edify in, although in most cases you can leave this setting as the default.

The install itself should only take a few seconds. If you are finding it is taking much longer, try restarting the installation. If your problems continue, please refer to our troubleshooting materials or get in touch and we can work out a solution.

Installing edify

Using the edify launcher

When the installer finishes, you will have access to the edify launcher. The launcher acts as a hub for all of your edify lessons, as well as software and content. If the launcher does not open automatically, you can access it by typing ‘edify’ into your start menu.

When you first open the launcher, you will be asked to log in using your edify details. If you are having trouble logging in, please submit a support ticket.

Your next step is to download the Lesson Creator. You can do this by navigating the left-hand-side menu and clicking on Updates. This tab shows the edify programs available to you, including the edify stock lessons.

To create your own lessons, find the box labelled Lesson Creator and click on Install. The launcher will then automatically download the Lesson Creator for you. This is a large file and may take a few minutes depending on your internet connection.

Once the Lesson Creator has finished downloading, you are ready to start using creating your own virtual lessons! Just use the menu to navigate to My lessons and click on Create new lesson to develop transform your lessons into an immersive experience.
